Overview

Description

This adapter for cable extension by Delock is suitable for all serial interfaces from DB9 to RJ45.  It connects devices such as printers, computers, gateways, POS systems etc. The adapter thus provide a simple solution to transfer the serial data e.g. of RS-232/422/485 interfaces with a Cat.5 cable and within an existing cable infrastructure.

Transmission characteristics for the serial adapter
A standard cable, e.g. category 5 (Cat.5) has much better transmission characteristics than a standard RS-232 cable. It enables higher data rates to be transmitted and longer distances to be bridged without additional signal amplification.
