Description

This splitter by Delock receives a DisplayPort signal from a PC or laptop and splits it to two connected displays. Thereby one DisplayPort connection can be used to operate two DisplayPort monitors. Both outputs are dual-mode capable (DP++), so that HDMI or DVI monitors can be connected with suitable adapters.


Note

The product is a Multi-Stream-Transport (MST) hub and supports the extended desktop configuration of Displayport 1.2. When Mac OS is used, the same image is displayed on both ports (mirrored), it is not possible to use both ports independently of each other.

Extended Desktop The splitter is a Multi-Stream-Transport (MST) hub and supports extended desktop configuration. MST mode is only available on DisplayPort 1.2 graphics cards. The splitter will show the same image (mirror) on both outputs if a graphics card with Displayport 1.1 is used.
Maximum Resolution A single Displayport 1.2 connection has a limit amount of bandwidth. This limits the number of displays that can be connected through an MST hub depending on the displays resolution, timing and refresh rate. Please see below for bandwidth usage of different resolutions:
1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz uses 22%, 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz uses 30% bandwidth
2560 x 1440 @ 60 Hz uses 35%, 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz uses 38% bandwidth
3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz uses 43%, 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz uses 95% bandwidth
